Serenity Garden – Fort MyersSerenity Garden

Counting Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota and Excelsa Gardens in Loxahatchee among their favorite places, our clients wanted to be able to include their own back yard among that list.

To that end, they enlisted Elemental to build the foundation for a private oasis they could enjoy every day without all the driving.

Here’s the before shot from roughly the same angle. This lot in central Fort Myers had the requisite palm trees so identifiable with the “City of Palms.” IMGP0869 However, the lots sprawl from one to another, offering unobstructed views to the neighbors.

Lush tropical foliage now combines with the koi pond and waterfall that we built in happy harmony. With the newly installed screen cage, the garden area is defined and feels worlds away from its original setting. It’s not a huge space, comprising about 600 square feet. However, distinct planting areas connected by meandering pathways offer interest and various viewing areas.

This segmentation achieves the feel of a destination botanical garden. It’s open 24 hours a day, 365 days a years. There’s plenty of parking and no need to call ahead.

We’re pleased that with the help of Elemental Stone and Waterworks, the happy homeowners have discovered a new favorite destination: home. What is your favorite destination? Have you found ways to bring part of it home? Comment below – we’d love to know your story. IMGP0972
